The gameplay is original, but simple, and is held back by a major flaw that makes it too easy. CJ is pretty shonen protagonist level of basic, but Garoo and Isha have more depth to them that makes them entertaining. The main party characters are better than the story, though. It comes without saying that the ending is open ended as a result of that as well, just as you'd expect. Story also is serviceable, but with the caveat that it links to a yet unreleased game, so at some point it'll just start throwing names and places you have no idea about, but will be relevant for that future game. yet by the time you reach the ending it will start shining due to it's absense. Music is good, not particularly memorable except maybe for the two town songs. Enemies are the same, with wolves' death animation being basically just flipping the sprite belly up. Graphics for all the backgrounds are insanely good and eye catching but character models have a rather lanky movement, as if their arms and torso were actually separate sprites, which makes the game looks flash game quality. fine? I mean, is playable, I have played worse, but definitely cannot recommend it over better action platformers.
